RD Core

RD Core is a clean server base with a OTCv8 client, intended as a starting point for your own game. The default map spawn file is empty: no monsters or NPCs are placed through it. Existing creature definitions remain available for development. It has been uploaded on this repo because original link was removed from download, we aswell fixed many things to make it ready to play.

Code and support

When reporting a bug, include the steps to reproduce it, relevant logs, and whether it affects the server, client, or map editor.

Base and versions

  • Server: a customized The Forgotten Server (TFS) codebase, branded RD Core 1.0. The original upstream TFS release number is not identified in the current sources.
  • Client: a customized OTClientV8 (OTCv8) client, branded RD Core Client 1.0, with application/update version 1414.
  • Protocol: the server currently declares support for 10.97–10.99. The client login target is configured separately in RD_Client/init.lua; the application version is not the protocol version.
