OGC Server List Policy
1. What OGC Server List is
OGC Server List is a branded OpenGamesCommunity service and XenForo add-on for listing and discovering Open Tibia servers. It connects server profiles, forum discussions, community votes, reviews, status monitoring, launch countdowns and promotional visibility into one responsive directory.
Each server owner is responsible for the accuracy, legality and rights covering their listing, text, trademarks, links, screenshots, banners and videos. Inclusion in the directory does not mean OpenGamesCommunity endorses that server.
2. Publishing, editing and removal
Free accounts may register 1 server. OGC Premium supporters may register up to 2 servers. New listings and owner edits may require approval; edits do not apply until approved. Owners may request removal with a reason, after which OpenGamesCommunity reviews and removes the listing manually.
OpenGamesCommunity may correct, hide or remove deceptive, duplicate, unlawful, unsafe or manipulative content. Discussion remains linked to XenForo.
3. Technical and XML checks
OGC makes a time-limited TCP connection to the declared public ports and sends the standard Open Tibia status request. TFS, Canary and compatible servers generally return a <tsqp> XML document. Available fields are parsed safely.
Listings without a future launch date must answer the status check when submitted and approved. A listing with a future launch date may remain offline until its countdown reaches zero. Monitoring then starts automatically; if the opening is delayed, the listing remains public with an Offline status and turns Online after a successful check.
OGC never accesses the game database, requests credentials or executes remote code. The config.lua importer does not execute or retain Lua; it extracts only allow-listed public settings and discards the upload.
4. Multiclient, multiple accounts and bots: allowed
OGC permits multiclient, multiple accounts, bots, macros, trainers and automated clients. A server is not penalized merely for allowing them. “Players online” means connections or characters reported by the status protocol, not necessarily unique people.
5. Spoofing and OGC manipulation: prohibited
Bots, multiclient and multiple in-game accounts are not spoofing by themselves. Manipulation includes sending invented data, serving special figures to the checker, inflating connections solely to alter rankings, rotating hosts to evade history, or automating votes, reviews or XenForo accounts.
An anomaly is not an automatic accusation. OGC may lower confidence, request verification, exclude manipulated samples and moderate or remove a listing after review.
6. More-than-500-player rule
A listing reporting 500 or fewer online players may appear free. Above 500, OGC Premium is required to appear in public lists. Direct listing and discussion links may remain available.
7. Ranking, OGC Score and promotion
OGC Score uses monitored and community signals with private weighting. Long-term availability is calculated from every retained daily check, not only the latest 30 days. Continuous uptime and the number of days genuinely monitored build ranking trust over time. OGC Premium does not buy score points, verification, votes, reviews, uptime or player figures.
Servers with a future launch countdown have 0 OGC Score and 0% uptime until launch monitoring detects them online for the first time.
Free servers are scheduled for status updates every 60 seconds. OGC Premium servers are due every 15 seconds.
The default FEATURED tab may boost a premium listing by up to 30 positions for visibility while preserving the organic score order between promoted servers. The OGC Score tab is strictly ordered by Rank PTS and contains no promotional movement.
Free servers may add an upcoming launch, appear in the calendar and sidebar carousel, and upload 1 countdown banner. OGC Premium FEATURED adds premium visibility and may sort ahead of free launches, but it does not gate upcoming-launch access.
8. Media, maps, banners and FEATURED visibility
Free listings may publish 1 server, add 1 dedicated-page banner, add 1 countdown banner for Upcoming Launches, upload up to 3 gallery images, add 1 static world map image and use a normal launch countdown.
OGC Premium supporters may publish up to 2 servers, upload up to 5 rotating banners, add up to 10 gallery images, add an interactive .otmm minimap and receive access to clearly marked FEATURED promotional placement.
FEATURED can add a gold highlight, promotional row styling, featured-carousel visibility and priority placement in launch/banner areas when eligible. These advantages are visibility tools only; they do not modify OGC Score points, votes, verification, reviews, uptime or monitored player data.
9. Votes, reviews and community
Structured votes and reviews require an eligible XenForo account. One review is allowed per user and server; owners cannot vote for themselves. OGC may remove artificial, abusive or coordinated activity.
10. OGC Premium donations
OGC Premium is a voluntary donation and supporter benefit for OpenGamesCommunity. It is not required to participate in the forum or to list a normal server within the free limits. Donation benefits may include extra visibility tools such as banners, gallery capacity, faster checks and FEATURED promotional placement.
OGC Premium supports the community and directory infrastructure; it never changes credibility signals such as OGC Score points, verification, votes, reviews, uptime or monitored player data. Donation rules, duration and refund information are handled by OpenGamesCommunity's existing donation policy.
11. Content, links and data
Linked websites, Discord communities and services are external. Their owners retain their content and trademarks. OGC processes XenForo account data, submitted listing data and public status responses under its general Privacy Policy.
