I have an older English client and when I rename the .d2i to es.d2i (as I downloaded the Spanish client from this post) some parts are English, of course quite some bits are missing and/or still Spanish as the versions do not match but translating the strings in the d2i could work yes.

MOD - i18n lenguage pack 2.73

Lenguage pack i18n in many lenguages. Not sure if it works on 2.51, should be tested.
